flight out friday was uneventful, but Really Fucking Early. got to vegas, slacked & walked around "Old Vegas" until [livejournal.com profile] angelsil & [livejournal.com profile] theonebob arrived [including some aggressively flavorless sushi & beer], then headed to the happy couple's room (everclear in tow) to distribute Mardi Gras beads, and then wandered down to Kahunaville (see [livejournal.com profile] ladysoleil's recap - fabulous food, a lush-facilitating waitress who was easy on the eyes - all in all, a damn good time). stumbled drunkenly home afterwards (this was about the only truly drunken stumbling we did, actually).

saturday, TheOneCouple and K&I hit our hotel's casino lobby after foraging for breakfast, and discovered that we had an Elvira-themed slot machine ("Spooky Slots!"). This claimed many nickels.

[insert incoherent "where did we go, what did we do, which day and with whom?" mutterings - between the jet lag, the "casino atmosphere" (something between desperation and glee, caressed by cigarette smoke, and with a soundtrack only Pac-Man could love), and the general overstimulation and driving similarity between many of the places, my temporal dampening is pretty well shredded.

Saw the white tigers before we figured out which one was Sigfried, and which one is Roy.
Lesson 1: Las Vegas buses suck when you're in a hurry, and there is any traffic whatsoever. )
Then it was off to the Star Trek Experience & Quark's Bar. I'll say this - those were some very tasty and entertainingly-described overpriced novelty drinks. )

Sunday, we met up with the newlyweds and mocked them for our doing a better job consummating their marriage than they had. )
