Here, from Gothopia Weather Station Alpha. . .
Jeanne is, in fact, coming right for us. Things should be sane by dinnertime, since it's tracking at 12mph, rather than moping along like Frances was. As of 9am, the storm was downgraded from Cat2 to Cat1.
The branches that were cracked by the last storm are down next to our house, but missed everything but the ground, so that's a plus. We've had a handful of power flickers, totalling maybe 30 seconds of being without power, since 5:30 this morning. When I was at Casa De Westphal, it looked like something similar had happened there (power on, clocks blinking).
Just talked to Bob via his cell phone. They're steaming ENE somewhere in the waters between FL anc Cuba, on their way towards Miami. "It's really rainy and windy here," he said.
