Strained/sprained/slightly popped my right Medial Collateral Ligament in some manner playing hockey last Saturday. Feels like a level 2: http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/sport-injuries/knee-pain/mcl-sprain

Yay. Not.

That happened, of course, days after I signed up for a 5k race where you can offset your running time by doing bench press reps (and got a whole passel of the folks who exert themselves for run at the office to sign up, too). I may or may not try and do the "practice run" they have scheduled for this Saturday morning (knee brace is due for delivery today), but I have the nagging suspicion that the A/C techs are coming out for a leak check followup ... and yep, that's what my service ticket says, so, no go on the official test run; I can always self-test on my weight bench and my 5k loop to see how I fare (at the moment, not well, as far as my standards go).

The kittens remain kittenish, and cute. Nymph has super-soft fur, which is nice. Spawn enjoys sitting on my laptop pretty much whenever he can get away with it.

There was more, but litter boxes had to be scooped for trash day. THE GLAMOUR.

Ooh, sympathy on the MCL tear. That sucks. Cats help, though!

For values of "help" that involve frequent DEX checks so as not to step on and trip over them, yes. ;-)

Boo for knee injuries.

Yay for kittens!

Good grief, man! You seem hell bent on wrecking yourself of late. Take it easy.

This old age thing sucks. At least I was doing something reasonably ambitious (playing ice hockey, trying to make a pass from my knees when the toe of my skate caught a rut in the ice) to cause this one.

New knee brace arrived last night and feels very comfy and supportive, so I'm back in action.
