i can see it now, some people are going to be pissed off because the CX committee didn't research this enough, or that there's not enough connectivity or they didn't make a deal with the hotel for access discouts or some other BS like that.

then there's people like me (provided i get to go) that are going to be so busy spending time with people that i won't have time to do anything on the 'net anyway and therefore won't care more than a little. i'm sure i'll jones for my email and journal, and will want to make a post or two, and the more i think about it, i'll prolly want to post some pictures as things go along and dammit! now i'm starting to get pissed about this! i want cheap, net access!

jezu, in the span of a couple minutes typing, i total went from the kind of person that rolls with the situation and doesn't get pissed off about something i don't have control over to being annoyed that i'm gonna have to budget some net access into this trip.

i will be totally unplugged - the only reason i even picked up a phone to call anywhere gut a hotel room at C9 was to talk to K because i missed her and stuph. this, from a guy who can barely walk through his living room without checking his email.

Ah but the Congress is so old, the rooms may not even have a modern heating system, let alone ethernet access. Granted, I speak out of my arse, as I have never been there. But I do remember the Days Inn for the CorpGoth Chciago trips.
