1. How often do you go on shopping binges? About how much do you spend?
Very seldom. Maybe every two months. And, being a poor fuck, if I blow more than sixy bucks, it's a big deal. Usually this means a quartet of DVDs, a video game and one other small item, or a stack of books. Tax refund check was an aberration, where half of it turned into a home theater system and an indulgent birthday present for K. . .
2. Do you get the urge to indulge in Retail Therapy after a joyous occasion or a sad occasion? Why?
As much as I like suki's answer, I won't steal it. Read it in her journal. I just agree with it. :-)
3. Have you ever held back on buying a particular item, only to find it was gone? What was it?
Hormel Turkey Pepperoni. The fuckers don't make it anymore. Beyond that? A Chevy Impala.
4. What was the most outrageous thing that you ever bought for yourself on a whim? Explain the story behind it.
My 1996 Audi A4. The Altima had been paid off, I was jonesing for a Nice Car that I could take up the fucking mountain I lived on at the time. . . what I -wanted- was a used BMW M3, but they were a couple grand too expensive.
Oh, and I just dumped a hunk of change into a mutual fund [VICEX], because, shit. . . that money wasn't growing sitting around in my checking account.
5. So what's catching your eye and tempting your wallet right now?
Houses. Not that I can afford 'em, but I'm jonesing to buy. More realistically? I want a big-screen TV or a home theater projector. BIG FORMAT videogaming and sports/movie-watching appeals to me on a very basic level. *grin*
