Okay, this has less to do with getting a DOA mainboard for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
whippingboy's machine than it does with the havoc being wreaked on my work box (an aging dually p3 733 on an ST-Micro mainboard that i wouldn't wish on an enemy. . .okay, yes i would) by the installation of a USB 2.0 pci card.
The box locks up and reboots at random. Devices attached to the new card may or may not function, or may require multiple applications of the same friver to be recognized. So, out with it. The one in the boss's machine works just fine, thankyouverymuch.
Today's letters are R, M, and A. *sigh* Dammit.
