First things first:

Rev. Zombie's Gothic Luau - damn fine party you throw there, ross_winn!  Great to finally put faces and voices with a lot of the circle of friends we're starting to meet courtesy of the Gothopia Moon Base/Weather Station Beta contingent.

How good was the party?  We had singalongs to spirituals.  We had embarrasing nookie anectdotes.  I drank Jack Daniels [out of both desperation and because . . . no, it was mostly desperation against the idea of sobriety in that crowd ;-)].  Was pleasantly surprised when brute_force arrived, bringing booth babe du jour queen_aleta in a Dawn/schoolgirl outfit.

Random friendly moment: one of the construction workers who put in my insulation was at the con, and we ran into each other in the 4th floor lobby.  "Rafe, it's Wraith!"  Weeeeeeird.

Let me just say that I will never, ever feel like a dork again.  Cosplay terrifies me.

Those Pants were worn.  In public.  Muahahahahaha.  They were even complimented and earned me an ass-grab from a random female.
