Political Whiplash

Jeb's still an asshole because of the heinous anti-abortion thing here, but then he goes and does something sensible like this, and reminds people that he's not the biggest asshole in the shrub clan. [ETA: Well, how about that, Dubya hizownself did it, too. Funny that it got almost no media coverage whatsoever.]

Speaking of assholes, let's gerrymander some legislation to curtail some more fundamental American freedoms, please. I was glad that NPR carried the comments of one of the people who stepped up to say "This isn't about protecting Old Glory, this is about protecting old politicians." Orrin Hatch (R-BS), how about I abridge your right to freedom of expression by making you cry like a little girl with a Louisville Slugger repeatedly applied to your junk? Because, hey, that ain't burning the flag!

My brain is a very weird place some days. Yesterday, I did a passable impersonation of Chef Brian from Ctrl-Alt-Del in terms of randomness.

This morning, whilst making a cup o' noodles, this bubbled out of the murky depths.
