Overnight results were more to my expectations - ~280Kb/s
HD TV: Looks good
Darrien Singletary, WoW-playing installation technician, has completely impressed me, and the powers that be at Verizon will be getting a "He's the reason I'm a customer right now" letter.
Total downtime during the changeover: ~5 seconds (as long as it took me to jack the RJ-45 from my old router to the new one and get an IP address)

aishlynn is still wiped out from her cold (I'm trying not to catch it myself), and has expressed, in the strongest possible terms, her intention to not get out of her jammies today, save possibly for a long, hot shower.
