The Folks arrive today for a week; my sister, BIL & The Niece follow on Friday for the long weekend. On the upside, both K and I have three-day weekends (hers for working yesterday, mine for working at a financial institution that recognizes Columbus Day), so we're looking forward to hitting LPZ and MOSI with the rugrat, among other things (The Folks have this perverse drive to do household stuff when they're down here, so I'm going to set them loose on the garden).
K's machine has been resurrected for about $250 (new mobo, which necessitated a new cpu & RAM, so she's sporting an Athlon 3200+ and 2GB of DDR2); installation went flawlessly, other than the original-cause issue, World of Warcraft, being corrupted beyond the repair utility's ability to cope - complete delete & reinstall was necessary, but, on the upside, the new board's integrated ethernet controller allows her to use the peered downloading capability, so the current cumulative patch only took about five minutes to obtain.
That's about all I've got.
