So, I finally saw 87 unleaded pretty much back under $3.50 everywhere I went this morning (had to hit one of our branches for on-site work, hooray, mileage reimbursement!), and
mightyman sent the following to me to share for discussion purposes:

In related news, I need to take Zim in for a belated 50k service appointment. Why am I 2k overdue? Because it runs like a top, and has been north of 40mpg three tanks running, even though it's been a year since my last oil change (admittedly, they put in full synthetic, which lasts longer than conventional oil). Obsessively changing the oil every 3-5k is one of those things I've gotten out of the habit of doing, both because my current driving cycle is far less stop-and-go than previous ones, and the car simply behaves as if it doesn't need it. Keep the tires properly inflated and the fluids topped off, and it really just needs gas.
I should also get around to putting a fresh coat of Rain-X on the windshield, and my wipers need replacement (oxidation and UV have pretty much rendered the current pair toast).
