Something about aggressive intrusion blocking (not quite the ICE of fictional yore), but definitely on the white/grey hat vigilante end of the spectrum.]
If you have not yet registered your numbers with http://www.donotcall.gov, today was widely reported to be the drop-dead date to do so. It isn't, but it's certainly not the dumbest thing you can do with fifteen seconds of your time.
I had forgotten to do it for the new cell #'s and the new house's land line.
ETA: The Snopes Report on this offers some reassurance in the form of more information. There =is= no deadline, and adding cell phone #'s to it is not presently necessary (but if you're feeling paranoid, there's no reason not to do it. FTR, I did, for both myself and K).
