Today at the office, it's standard-issue weekend wear: combat boots, black workout shirt (short sleeved), and the black utilikilt.
and, yes,
xanyboi, I got to use your line in response to "So, what do you wear under that thing?"[1]
The chief loves it. people who normally don't even make eye contact or nod hello have reacted positively.
[however, just in case someone grumps, I've got a pair of grey microfiber shorts in the car. the fashion patrol came by, noticed that it's of a suitable fit, fabric, and length, scratched their heads, and kept going.]
[1] "My boots." Acknowledgement that I was not the source of that particular bit of cleverness was given.

So, I'm curious. I completely understand what "professional" length skirt for women means. What's the "legal" skirt length for males? I'm pretty sure they're not going to be doing the "kneel on a yardstick please, sir" test.

mine, as you've all seen, comes to the bottom or middle of my kneecap, so i'm good by about 4-5"

anyone in a properly-fit kilt is therefore well within the proper skirt-length requirements. :-)

Excellent!
The tie-dyed skirt on the other hand has been burned deep into the retinas and memory banks to EVER forget... ;)
Bravo, babes!

*sigh*
Course, now I'm all depressed and stuff cuz there's an absolute 0% of getting away with a kilt at work, ever. Not even if I was plainclothes.
(and there's no Ren-Fest in my town to go 'uncercover' to)
Re: *TWEEEET!*
what good is having horribly bad puns for a superpower if everybody else tries to get in on the game! grr!

Glad the kilt went off without a hitch :)
