Holy hell, does my butt hurt.

K had to put in a couple of hours of OT last night, so I got a terse phone call, saying she'd be late and to head to the gym without her.

Did a moderate upper-body circuit (I need to stop skipping 3 and 4 days at a time), and then figured I'd do some recon on the "RPM" spinning class that's offered. Get my ticket, pick a bike, and let the instructor know I'm a rookie.

I then spend the next 45 minutes sweating out shit I may have eaten on Monday. Holy toxin dump, batman.

The endorphin zork settled in around minute 25, and it's helpful to know self-hyp, so you can stare at the shiny spot on the instructor's bike when she's making you do evil things.

Note to self: sit more comfortably on the seat.

Afterwards, I wanted to find out what some of the music was, and apparently one of the women in the class is the group booking manager for the DoubleTree that hosted FetishCon. One comment about St. Patrick driving the pagans out of Ireland, and the fact that had a book of SF stories in my hand and mentioned Rammstein, and they'd both twigged to the fact that I'm a deviant (clothing wasn't a clue - teal workout-weave shirt and grey shorts). I also apparently remind them both of Ms. DoubleTree's brother or cousin in mannerisms. Joy.

Definitely a nice change of pace from the self-directed heavy lifting; the next session is, unfortunately, their most popular timeslot (10:00 Sunday morning). K and I may both give that one a go.
