Well, that was entirely too little time away from the cubicle.
Friday night was good beer and good food with the GMBAS crew and their guest du jour,
jmoriarty, followed by a brief sojourn to The Castle, where K was line-worshipped by an ambisexual but desperate dudelet, my coworker (M) attempted to drink his weight in liters of Guinness, the music was stellar, The Hunger was screen filler, and yet we still never made it to the dance floor, and were home to crash, along with
axissilverhand and his ladyfriend by 1am.
K went into hostess mode at 8:15 Saturday morning, so vegan sausage patties, an astonishing amount of bacon, coffee, and some kickass hash brown-like things were whipped up before we accosted the mall for nothing in particular ("highlighted" (and I use the term loosely) by
mighty_man and
christyr1q calling while. . . . apparently distracting one another, or something [kids, if you both can talk on the phone, YOU'RE NOT DOING IT RIGHT. Heh]), and came away with full bellies, courtesy of Mr. Dunderbak's. Anime and mild gaming ensued before we met up with the GMBAS contingent again for drinks and dinner.
Afterwards, we discover that Axis has left a six-pack of rare and great beer in the fridge, and prepare clever ransom-like telephone call, only to be short circuited by his already having noticed. Drat!
Sunday finds us at the gym after a leisurely morning, and the late-day geekery is sharply hindered by an unspecified but persistent memory glitch in WoW on K's rig (to be rectified by the strategic application of compressed air and extra electrons this evening).
