In the realm of relatively good news, it seems that the sewer line from my house does not, in fact, make a sharp turn in the vicinity of the tree beside the house and then shoot thirty feet out to the curb. Instead, it runs ten feet straight into the alley and meets up with a city sewage easement, at which point, it Ceases To Be My Problem.

RotoRooter will be out to snake down a camera tomorrow to find out where the problem(s) exist, and if they're mine, or the City of Tampa's, to fix. That's a couple hundred bucks, but will hopefully illuminate whatever hydrodynamic 'shoes have been giving me headaches this week.
