The thing about CGI animation is that it's too ubiquitous, and it's becoming gratuitous to have those effects, you know? Star Wars, for example, had nine bajillion scenes of a ship landing. Would you want to see a movie with that many shots of a car pulling up to a curb?
It's not artistic, it's pretentious and lame. Also, BORING!
