*scratches head* I got a little excited when the Redskins beat the Cowboys a couple of weeks ago, but I think that's about all the sports energy I can muster for a season.
I was watching a program The Discovery Channel last night where they followed the life of a firehouse (Boston perhaphs?). During the program, the fire fighters squared off against a New York City police team in a game of hockey. The fire fighters lost, but it must have felt good to check a cop into the boards ;)
well, the GOOOAAALLL is a telemundo futbol thing, but, as proven in practice, it makes for a good utterance at the appropriate time, both while watching on tv (to alert the household and scare the bejeezus out of the cats) and in the arena.
tonight: kilt, combat boots, sabres jersey, and attitude.
I lived in a town where there wasn't pro hockey for two years, and then last year, the fuckers cancelled the season. i'm in something like four years' worth of withdrawal.
for as much as i love football, hockey's numero uno.
yeah, i was surrounded by flyers lust for five years. now i'm in dc and the caps fans don't seem to have the same... fervor, but perhaps i just don't know the right people.
