digitaldisciplineHas there been a movie about a woman involved with a rock star, just past the limelight, who can't or won't give up the rockstar lifestyle of drugs, booze, and self-destructive behavior (all condoned by his mother - maybe she hates him, or gets an insurance payout), and who, rather than leaving him, tries to beat him at his own game, by becoming even more wild and self-destructive as a way to make him take responsibility by having to care for -her-, which pisses the mother off (mom didn't like her to begin with)?
Did this movie have Jennifer Tilly as the mother, a particularly scruffy Brad Pitt as the rockstar, and someone who resembles, but isn't, Kirsten Dunst as the girlfriend?
Did it begin with a scene on top of a building, in the rain, eight floors above a back alley, with the rocker wanting to throw himself off the edge for the final rush, fueled by booze and coke, and did it end with the girlfriend succeeding in doing so?
Because, man, that was one hell of a trailer I dreamt last night. It even had that ubiquitous narrator doing the voice-over.
