The pros are split as of 2pm - two models have it going WNW across the Yucatan before bending towards TX/LA, three have it hooking between Cuba and the Yucatan and then aiming pretty much at Punta Gorda/Tampa. I think the latter are closer to right.

If it's Cat 4/5, we're outta here. Cat 1/2, we'll stick. Cat 3 is a coinflip (in my mind).

I think it'll be a small but potent storm, more like Charley, but won't be as powerful when it makes landfall.

I'm betting it gets lost in Mexico after spending time at Senor Frogs.

Actually, I think Wilma's going to sound a lot more like Fred [Wil-maaaaaaaaaaa!], and, given how warm the water in the Caribbean/GoM is, this could be fairly nasty. If you St. Pete types wanna hole up this way, there's a Motel 6 at 275 and Fowler where they accept pets, to the best of my knowledge.

Glad I didn't put up the halloween decorations, anyway. I'd have to batten/hunker them down if the time comes to bolt up the fence segments and plywood.
