The remainder of the Phoenix Junket to see Baal and
mighty_man was just as enjoyable as the first day.
- Mini golf scores were way down until a heinous showing on the 13th hole, wherein two players combined to take THIRTY strokes. Adjusted scoring to comply with course stroke limits rendered MM the winner by a single stroke overall.
- I have been infected with the amusement goodness that is Cheapassgames.com's "Kill Doctor Lucky." For the unfamiliar, think of it as anti-Clue. Evil, addictive, and good for smal parties. Additional gaming goodness in the form of the combat card game "Kung Fu Fighting" was also fabulous... Half the fun there is visualizing the actual moves and speaking in badly-dubbed dramatic Hong Kong movie Engrish. It could be subtitled Magic: The Chuck Norrising.
- I still kick a whole lot of ass driving go-karts. Despite being curbed by some asshole who didn't want me to pass him (note: this was not
mighty_man, who only drives that way in a real car) hard enough to go up on two wheels three times during the second heat, I still posted a top-25 lap time the day we went. The gym time must be paying off, because despite being warm and sweaty after the second heat, I was still good to go (and actually felt -better- than I had after the first one).
- Baal makes some mean french toast.
- Xboxing on a widescreen with kickass surround-sound with friends is much, much better than doing it by yourself.
- It really isn't the heat, it's the humidity, but I still wouldn't want to be outside in 120+ degrees.
- Temperfoam pillows FTW.
Tonight is TBBC for the hatching anniversaries of both Jeeves and
analmuch, who will become roommates next weekend. They were alternately horrified and amused when I said they could be hetero lifemates. Matt took the Jay role, while Jeeves became Silent Bob, and they started singing. It was terrifying.

That said, go-karts rock my world. Glad you had such an awesome vacation!

Um. Jeeves as Silent Bob, also terrifying. Not *as* terrifying as Silent P in the Silent B role, but close.
Frankly, I make a pretty kickass Jay, but then again, the main requirement is to be a foulmouthed denizen of Jersey. Not quite so tough.

Mini-golf: Just for the record, if we hadn't capped the strokes, I would have been a lot farther ahead.
Kung-Fu Fighting is by Slugfest games (www.slugfest.com)
Go-Karts: Baal was still feeling it on Monday. I expect him to be sore for a week. And yeah, he does make some darn good food. Tasty comfort food.
Surround Sound -- it wasn't bad, it was only 5.1 though. I need two more surrounds and another sub for 7.2. At some point, maybe I can afford to get the speakers that are supposed to go with it: THX Ultra 2 certified.
