Friday was a decent time at the Castle, riding herd on the young gentlemen who'd had birthdays last week, and were about to become roommates.

There's something to be said for "Guys' Night Out," as Kim was home battling the ick. They knocked back a few, I danced a fair bit, and advice was dispensed (and actually acted upon, with positive results).

Saturday morning dawned early, at which point, I hit the chiropractor's office, was struck by inspiration for a story that I need to write, I fought with an automatic car wash, and then the real fun started - five hours of busting up and disposing off mass quantities of cement at Gothopia Moon Base Alpha South. My estimates at the total mass moved (primarily by myself and [livejournal.com profile] theonebob, with [livejournal.com profile] ross_winn & family, Jeeves, and [livejournal.com profile] analmuch arriving somewhat later) give an average figure of about 750lbs/hr.

My hands are sore, and I had a touch of sunburn, but I'm in much better shape than the stuff we demolished. Hard fucking work, busting one's hump in the sun all day. Thirsty, too.

Then, because I'm a genius like that, after K got home from volunteering at the zoo, we headed out to [livejournal.com profile] critus' place for D&D (chronicled elsewhere), which made for a second consecutive late night, albeit just as enjoyable as the previous one. [livejournal.com profile] draxzaster brings some damn good salsa.

Sunday morning, K was up early (yes, she's a trouper, doing the volunteer thing even when she's under the weather), as was I, so I went to the gym... not because I'm a trouper, but because I'm a masochistic moron. 45 minutes of weights, then spin class, and my ass was pretty well kicked... but I came home and did the dishes and laundry after J & M went to see Silent Hill.

When K got home, we kicked back for the goodness that is PLAYOFF HOCKEY. The 'Ning looked good. I hope we can see the Sabres games at some point.
