digitaldiscipline1. What's your all-time favorite cover tune, and who's it by?
- Mortal, by Front Line Assembly (it's actually a cover version of the theme from The Terminator/T2). This was surprisingly difficult, given my affinity for cover versions. One with staying power for me has always been Coil's take on Tainted Love, and lately, my top two are Disturbed's remake of Land of Confusion and Thou Shalt Not's rendition of Headhunter.
2. Look into the future. Gothopia is now a Force Unto Itself, and we've completely taken over St. Petersburg/Tampa with all our really cool friends. Should we secede from the States and put the WTP in power, or would you really not want the co-running of a small Gothopian City-State?
- Assuming we could actually secede, yes. I think that there's enough common sense among the core Gothopian contingent to establish responsible order and hammer out the niggling exigiencies of establishing suitable governance, even if it's a rotating benevolent dictatorship.
3. Congratulations! Science has now made a machine that replicates food a la Star Trek, but without calories! What's the very first meal/drink you stuff yourself silly on?
- Lobster, garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower, crawfish, Mountain Dew, and chocolate volcano cake.
4. What's the one city you really want to go to but haven't yet, and what is it about that place that calls to you?
- London or Tokyo. There's a lot of percieved atmosphere there that I'd like to experience. In the continental US, my cities-yet-to-visit is pretty much "San Francisco & Portland." I've been pretty much everywhere I'm interested in going, other than the Grand Canyon.
5. You wake up in Bizarro world. Surprise, you're a rock star! What band are you in, what's your world tour called, and who's opening for you?
- I'm Metallica's bassist, and after I bust some heads to bring the boys back to the roots of what made them kick ass back in the day, we go on the "No Bullshit" tour, with Disturbed and Megadeth opening up for us.
