Some possible places you might have left it:

* Under a mug of beer as a coaster
* Stapled to the wall as an alternative to new wallpaper
* Next to your AOL CD; unfortunately, they've run off together
* Out in the rain, to see if it would sprout
* In your ninja outfit, where you accidentally mistook it as a shuriken
* Forgotten under a pile of Linux CDs, where it belongs.

It's the disk itself that's hiding.

*snerk* Like you've ever had a real copy of XP Pro.

Now that I think about it....I did come across burned CDs of every windows OS that you've ever used not too long ago. I know they were yours because I couldn't read the crap that was written on it. I wonder if the XP Pro was in there.

That's entirely possible. I know I gave away my legit copy of 2k cheap to someone, and threw out the flawed 98 cd... but i've still got my legit copy of win95! yeah, that's helpful. not.

well, that's where the copy of windows 95 was.

I knew it! :)

I haven't used Windows on any of my computers since at least 2001.

The presence of Linux CDs on my desk doesn't mean it's installed on any of my hardware.
