So, we had a vendor team pitching their application at my office today - quartet of middle-aged guys and a younger woman. My boss' observation about their team was, "Hi, we're the tech dorks, and this is our spokesmodel." Oversimplified, but she did give off a much stronger Marketing aroma and had actual charisma (to go with too much perfume and a not-inconsequential amount of pulchritude).

Because I've spent a lot of time in conversations with and reading observations by [livejournal.com profile] thewronghands, my second thought was, "I wonder if they're trying to social-engineer the sale?"

Of course, because I'm the lowest lackey here (hence, have no opinion of, and minimal input for, any purchasing decision one way or another on this), and they were all just standing around beside my cubicle, I had nothing better to do than admire the view. Oink. ;-)

if it had been Kiki Stockhammer, and this was a few years ago, you guys would have been putty in their hands! HAHAHA. Mom always wanted me to take a job like that - back when I was blonde and more tolerant of bs... I can talk nerd like the best of 'em, but after a while, I tend to lose my patience. I also secretly dig Kiki Stockhammer and wrote her an almost creepy email a couple of years ago - which she answered and sent me a picture of her grinding on a cardboard cutout of Captin Kirk. Me scared.

Hehehe. Actually, other than too much perfume (and, according to my boss, a Really Big Rock)... nothing to complain about with this one. ;-)
