So, we had a vendor team pitching their application at my office today - quartet of middle-aged guys and a younger woman. My boss' observation about their team was, "Hi, we're the tech dorks, and this is our spokesmodel." Oversimplified, but she did give off a much stronger Marketing aroma and had actual charisma (to go with too much perfume and a not-inconsequential amount of pulchritude).
Because I've spent a lot of time in conversations with and reading observations by
thewronghands, my second thought was, "I wonder if they're trying to social-engineer the sale?"
Of course, because I'm the lowest lackey here (hence, have no opinion of, and minimal input for, any purchasing decision one way or another on this), and they were all just standing around beside my cubicle, I had nothing better to do than admire the view. Oink. ;-)
