I have often advocated the viewpoint that Stupidity should be expensive, painful, or fatal.

When this bites Yours Truly in the ass, I am OK with it.

Which is why my dumb ass is in the office for the next hour, rather than sitting on my couch, Xbox controller in hand, with the company laptop on my coffee table.


One guess as to who forgot his VPN password, the one that gets used once every three weeks, usually when not terribly awake.

And people wonder why $VCB employees tend to use identical passwords for *EVERY* account and spend an hour or moew changing every single one in lockstep every three months.

I have, at last count, no fewer than seven discrete passwords at my current place of employment, just for my own credentialing.

I've got about fifteen unconnected IDs on various systems. I will be so happy when IBM works out how to do LDAP validation of passwords.
