So, life returns to something more like normalcy after a very pleasant, if tiring, weekend.

Halloween's internal Idiot Ninja alarm clock turns him into a caffeinated spaz at approximately 5:52am every day. This is a problem because my alarm clock doesn't go off until 6:25 for a reason (K's is set for 7:15). Yes, he's a young cat, so it's going to be a matter of carving what NO means into his almond-sized brain via repeated application.

In the wake of Saturday's house full o' friendly freaks, Xany, Ivan, and I adjourned for a brief evening at The Castle, where we met up with Nikki as soon as we walked in, and were later joined by Angelsil & Adrienne, and afforded views of the bartendress' cleavage and an unfortunate instance of one gentleman's assless chaps. Kim & Ken stayed up to chat whilst Nicole crashed, and I think they had the smarter evening. Heh.

Sunday saw me not making it to the gym (unsurprising), as Nicole & Ken crashed at our place, and we hit the local diner for chow before sending them on their merry way, and wending our way Orlando-ward to meet up with Rick & Margaret... to be frustratingly delayed when one of the servers at the office exploded (the joys of being on call) and realizing only then that my profile hadn't been afforded the necessary access to do anything to affect a repair beyond emailing alerts to say, "Hey, Guy_1 & Guy_2, it went 'splody."

Surprising discovery on the post-Margaritaville drive home: talking wakes you up (nothing like nodding off behind the wheel at 5pm, ugh). Got home, and watched still more Shark Week and Dirty Jobs (Mike Rowe is officially cool in our household), and crashed.

K took MBI to the airport this morning; looking forward to a return invasion in November.

And, yes... The Annoying Thing is currently adorning my cubicle, and getting squeezed like a naughty roll of Charmin from time to time.
