#1) Given a choice, and imagining that money and time were no object, would you rather cook dinner, eat out or order in?

- Depends on who I'm eating with. If it's <6 folks, going out or ordering delivery. For bigger bunches, I enjoy holding court at the grill (as anyone who's been to the festivities at GMBAN can attest).

#2) What is the most elaborate meal you've ever prepared yourself or purchased at a restaurant?

- There's a fancy French restaurant in Aruba that does the whole "nine billion courses, dinner takes three hours" presentation.

- As far as stuff I've prepared/helped prepare, pretty much everything comes in a distant second to an epic dry rub that occurred at [livejournal.com profile] mighty_man's house that was so good, the frozen leftovers were still delicious months later.

#3) What food do you find yourself making and/or eating way too much?

- Back in the day, this would have been easy to answer - ramen noodles, and Hungry Man turkey dinners. These days, I'm much more varied, but have no qualms with having grilled cheese sandwiches and grilled chicken breast every night.

#4) What was your most disastrous cooking/eating out experience?

- I got a wicked case of food poisoning, possibly even salmonella, from some chicken wings at Hooters in Fairfax.... then, three hours later, drove to Richmond to visit [livejournal.com profile] timly and [livejournal.com profile] ruhiel, and, rather than be able to enjoy the things we'd planned to do, I spent the entire weekend dead on their couch.

#5) Would you rather cook for someone else or have them cook for you?

- I think that if you can make a meal where you both cook for each other (such as, say, grilled meat with a side dish and dessert), that's the best option. Besides, I drive [livejournal.com profile] aishlynn bugfuck nuts with my insistence on wanting to help, because she enjoys cooking for me, and I feel guilty about it. I usually get to help with menial prep work or stirring something, as long as I'm out of her way. Heh.
