Thanks for picking this story up, I think those people need a good old fashioned SMACKDOWN. Downright SHADY, catty, spiteful and bitter what they're doing. It made my blood boil too.

You should read all the comments on my page now, it's heating up. But as of yet, no defense or flaming from the perpetrators. Maybe they haven't seen it, maybe they know they're wrong and making total *asses* of themselves.

All this shit they are doing, the ONLY thing it accomplishes is to show the rest of the community what a complete lack of integrity they have.

So, they're doing it to make MONEY off of convergence without actually participating in Convergence. How's them for scrupples?

If they had any integrity or pride in what was their reputation, they would plan their benefit for some other time, and make it *about* the benefit. Plus, in the beginning, it was a C9 Unofficial Pre-Party. How did it suddenly turn into a BENEFIT? I doubt the people that bought tickets a few weeks ago knew at the time what their money was going towards. It's clearly all about spite and money and sponging off all the hard work the C9 committee did to pull this together by trying to poison the attendees against them. It *is* anti-C9, if it wasn't, why would they say such comments as "Suck on THAT, Event Whose Name Shall Never Be Mentioned!" (http://www.livejournal.com/community/deathrock/59147.html) WTF is THAT??

The whole situation just reeks. But in the end, everyone will know how scummy this is and they'll be on the same level of Clifford Low.

aw, don't get your knickers in a twist...there have been "divergence"-s and "convergence rescues" for a long time. *shrug* if you don't like, ignore. scene drama is one of the few constants in the universe, i sometimes think. ;) Drama Happens.

The chick that started it was originally thrown off of the C9 committee for telling lies and not doing her job. Next thing ya know she started the "unofficial C9 pre-party"...and then it was inflated to what it is.

And they say they are doing it to promote their magazine....my arse!!

I also like how Carrie Monster's comments to Rozz's posts were deleted...heh.

I'd say they took a page out of Snow's book....heh.

Deleting her comments only goes to prove to everyone in the community that they can dish it out, but they can't take it. Cowards. Stand up for what your piehole is yapping.

It's a shame that in these times, with all the other *real* shit we have to think about, that dissention and problems like these have to be invented. There is simply no reason for all of this, no justification. So you got thrown off the committee? Be an adult and deal with it, swallow it and don't set out to deliberately sabotage what has been almost a year of other people's hard work.
