(or, "How to bookend a fractured long weekend with copious amounts of exhaustion")

Friday, on the heels of putting out nearly literal fires at WHATFUCKINGTIMEISIT?-o'clock, I managed to escape the office at 1500... and be sound fucking asleep at 1700, with a brief grunt of greeting for K when she got home at 1800, and a brief moment of wakefulness around 0030 for a glass of water.

O HAI, 14 hours of sleep.

No. . . wait. That must have been Saturday night, because Friday was Fun With World of Warcraft (for those who play, we one-shotted everything up to Nightbane, who took three pokes to give up the sparklies - it was "Druid and Healer Lewtz Weekend," apparently). Five bosses in under four hours, time to call it a night.

Saturday was spent relaxing while K worked, and then the aforementioned HELO DERE FATIGUE. *thud*

Sunday ... yanno, I should probably finish my XMS shopping. 0930 on the next-to-last-shopping-day-before, and I was first in line at the register at both Best Buy and Barnes & Noble, procuring Stuff For Kimachu[tm]. Flawless shopping victory. The second of the weekend's Fun With World of Warcraft runs occurs... and we one-shot everything, even the optional stuff, the stuff that's given us fits, the stuff we've only tried a couple of times. We stand around, briefly stunned at our outrageous success.

Monday - ahh, a Glorious Day Off! Wait, why the fuck is the work phone ringing at 0745? Oh, right, my colleague is not yet in the office (he arrives at 0800). Wait... it's 800.... 815... 830... 845... 905.... WHY IS IT STILL RINGING GODIEINAFIRE. 1600... are you fucking kidding me? "Hold on, guys, work is calling *again*...."

Monday Night - NMBC shindig at Casa De Critus, which is full of good friends, good food, and dear god help us Rock Band, courtesy of my 360 and Jeeves & Matt's game & controllers. Wow. Fun. Yes. K & [livejournal.com profile] theonebob called it a night about 2330, so I got a late-night ride home from Jeeves & Matt around 0300.

Tuesday, K had to work most of the day (animals don't care what day it is, they want to eat and shit). I vegged out, wrapped gifts, did a little Blowing Up Of Shit with [livejournal.com profile] mighty_man, and generally chilled out until she got home & took a nap, then we made some buffalo-based meatloaf and opened gifts... at which point, I fell asleep on the couch at 1730, missing pretty much all the friends & family holiday calls throughout the evening.

I did, however, get what I wanted. It also comes in a Spicy Brains flavor.

there were some... not so cute ones, too.

or, at least "fraction of a second away from being something that would make K cringe at her expression" ones. :-)

Yes...we are the evil for bringing that addictive game.

I will point out that I DO have a good singing voice...just not angry enough for most of those songs.

Your problem is, they don't have any Ben Folds Five tracks.
