This week's dose of my brain-drippings-for-hire are ready and available for public consumption.

Justify my existence with some clicks, people! ;-)

If nothing else, there's a recipe for jalapeno waffles in there! Those might even get me to become a breakfast person....

The jalepeno waffles sound vomitous. Don't get me wrong, I like jalepeno for breakfast, but I generally prefer it in an egg product.

If they get made into pancakes instead of waffles my wife would be all over those :)

My wife puts hot peppers and mexican hot sauce on everything. It does work on a lot of things, like お好み焼き (Okonomiyaki)

since i don't think i actually own a waffle iron, i think that's how i'd have to deploy them at my place.

i'm thinking of actually trying my hand at this, albeit in a small batch (as the substantially better half isn't nearly so keen on the seriously spicy as i am)

Hot sauce does improve many things, agreed. I can't grok the waffles, although I am thinking a cornmeal pancake gently laced with peppers would be right tasty.

Bwhaha. That's what I get for not reading the recipe. The cornmeal content negates the icky factor. I withdraw my objection to WafflePenos now. (Hey, it needed a wacky name)

which is different from "waffle penas" in at least the _shape_ they'd be in....

I will agree, but only if you include hot sauce which has flavor to it that is not induced with peppers. She seems to think this is the only way to make hot sauce, and I generally enjoy something with more flavour than burn. Then again, I also don't have her allergies to garlic and onion!

(I usually use La Victoria's hot sauce in their middle-to-hot ratings)

I'm not personally sure what the difference is, but I am keen on waffles and not so keen on pancakes, whereas my other half is the opposite.

i'm with you on that as well, but breakfast is so casual at our place (cereal for her, maybe a cup of coffee for me) that anything more involved than pre-made, bake-it-yourself cinnamon rolls are seldom in the offing.

LOL. I think if you're gonna get dirty, best take it to [livejournal.com profile] clunkies

I'm a fan of straight-up Green Tabasco for a little heat and some taste. Hot for the sake of hot doesn't work for me, I want something savory, not something I'd eat as a bar bet.

Like, say, this: http://www.nypress.com/18/52/food/E&D2.cfm

nice :) With respect to Sanrio I at least try to keep it to Kuromi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuromi). Though, I do have a gothic pirate schoolgirl Hello Kitty cell-phone dangly (that I did get from Japan) on my phone :)

Stay away from my waffles, all of you. Waffles are breakfast, and I'm not ready for "different" before the coffee has had its chance to do the job.
