I managed to make myself watch it. I've never heard the end of it from people who want me to watch Firefly, or Serenity, or Buffy, or any of the other shit with Joss Whedon's name on it.
Honestly, if you ask me, the best thing Joss Whedon's written was in the faq:
4) Joss, do you ever answer a question simply or coherently?
Shledzguohn?
I am not now, nor will I probably ever be, a Whedon fan. I think that my lack of squee over Doctor Horrible pretty much confirms that he, like David Lynch, are going to remain "shit that a lot of people who aren't me like, but which annoy me to no goddamned end."

I'd happily buy shots for John Waters, though.

I'm shocked that you didn't care for it. Shocked, I tell you.
Like Seeth, I contend that you'd probably enjoy some of his other work if you gave it an honest chance, but like most serialized television if you aren't willing to watch a few episodes of it up front there really isn't much point.

no need to hate us all :)

Sorry to say, you have not really scratched the surface just with this one thing. That being said, you are under absolutely no obligation to watch a single other thing by him, ever.

I'm also being pressured to watch the new wankery, but haven't caved yet...
Yes, I'm also an asshole; a proud member thereof!
