digitaldiscipline... so why the hell doesn't one of our vendors do their server maintenance in the middle of the night, like any sensible IT shop?
Nope, maintenance window (which we were told was gonna happen at, oh, 4:21pm yesterday afternoon) was from 6:00-7:00 CST this morning, and ultimately ran until after 8:00 CST... which, you'll notice, is a good hour into the workday for folks here in the Eastern time zone.
They're called "best practices" for a reason. Dispense with the fuckmuppetry.
