So, after enjoying the fantastic weather over the weekend and yesterday (and, hopefully, today), wherein something other than 90+ degrees and 100+ heat indexes were the order of the day, I'm now a walking snot factory.

Allergies (rain is making all the mold go YO MOTHERFUCKER WHEEE) + minor sinus infection = awesome

At the resumption of urging by [livejournal.com profile] mighty_man, I've resumed poking around in Anarchy Online with the same guys I played D&D with in high school. AO is still dog-fuck ugly (after years of WoW, a few weeks of Aion, and a two-week trial of Champions (courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] synna454), that's even more pronounced. But it's good to run with the guys again, though, and we've wrangled Skype to do a four-way conference call with a single click, which is damn handy.

Feeling generally un-lame on the workout front, and the technique pointers that folks had in light of the videos I've put up are helping as well.

There is new Ikea stuff in the house, because [livejournal.com profile] aishlynn's parents weren't really going to take "no" for an answer, and, really, we needed some decent seating surfaces. We ended up with some wooden, open-framed chairs & footstools. The cats seem to love them, which is good.

Speaking of cats, there has been no shortage in feline drama since we got back from CG6. First, Loki choked on a hairball and stopped breathing, so Kitty Heimlich was employed. The next day, he was still acting off, so we took him to the vet. Sick kitty had a 104 temp and got put on a ten day course of antibiotics.

The day after he was done, his sister, Lamia, was hiding in the bottom of the closet and not eating. Trip to our regular vet... they're closed on Thursday, and the vet is on vacation... go to this other place... they open at 8 (it's 745)... the vet himself gets in at 930, so come back at 915... vet has a flat tire and arrives at 10. Lamia also has a 104 temp, so she gets a big shot of penicillin and has her blood work done.

Verdict: probably a thyroid issue, which may also account for the overgrooming behavior (ie: Kitty No Pants), so she's going on something for that. And we had to dose all four furry retards with Revolution, since the recent rain woke up the flea population.

So, yeah. I haven't said shit because shit's mostly inane or annoying.
