Saturday: Decent grub, and some fun inflicting Shatner's role in "Over the Hedge" on TheBirthdayBob.
Sunday: Yeah, I was rooting for the Saints. I'm glad they won.
Otherwise, just trying to get back into the workout routine, despite missing the first boot camp session due to Mapquest Fail. Better map in hand, I'll be attending tomorrow morning's session. Given the lackluster and annoying tale of the scale and tape on Saturday, I've got my motivation for that and the resumption of my own lifting routine with more regularity for the next little while.
At work, I'm participating in a leadership development program, which should be fairly nifty. I was actually tabbed for something like this in middle/high school, and again during the honors program at college. I think it's interesting and not a little bit entertaining, since I have no illusions about being a traditional leader, but also recognize that, for whatever reason, people pay attention to what I say and do, and I should really be more willing to go with that than in the extremely limited manner I usually do.
No, I'm not taking over the world (yet). I may help someone I like to do so, however.
Taxes got done last night, once I got a fresh copy of my mortgage 1098 (the benefit of working where I got my loan is that I could just wander over and say "Can you print me a fresh copy, since I never got one in the mail?" Bonus points: my HELOC was under the mandatory-to-mail $600 threshold, so they tallied that up by hand, and I could line item another $488 deduction. All told, I'm getting a completely unsurprising refund, the vast majority of which is going to be thrown at paying down credit cards, maybe with a chunk being used to buy a couch, a nice sushi dinner, and some new running shoes (either traditional, or a replacement set of Vibrams, since I'm beginning to blow out the toe seams on mine).
The various flavors of fucking off continue apace. AO has remained fun, even absent the group play due to MBI's being offline due to family visiting from out of town.
kyra_ojosverdes talked me into trying a free-to-play web-based game that is essentially splitting the difference between Trade Wars and EVE Online.
