I've been doing some reading today, because what I thought was that pulled muscle in my butt seems to be doing a pretty good impersonation of sciatica: http://www.healthscout.com/ency/68/172/main.html
Said reading was prompted by the fact that, despite the fact that I've done essentially nothing more strenuous with my legs than take the stairs two at a time, and spent much of yesterday very pointedly doing jack shit, it feels like someone is driving an electrified knitting needle into my ass, and following that up by running a circular saw down the outside of my leg all the way to my ankle if I bend over wrong.
Healing muscles feel better as they heal; this seems to have gotten worse.
I'm making an appointment with a chiropractor that a couple at folks at work recommended, hopefully on Tuesday, to get it checked out.
Anyone who feels the need to point out that this injury was self-induced will get their ass kicked with my good leg.

I shall refrain from making any kind of snarky comments until you have confirmed how serious it is.

the fact that taking it easy by reading webcomics and playing video games has made it feel *worse* than it did at any point when it bothered me from exercising is the real kick in the balls.

Regardless, hope it helps.
