I picked up a $7 bottle of headlight polish by the folks who make Rain-X (this was during the fiasco with K's car battery a few weeks ago), and can say that the shit works as advertized.

Five minutes with a rag and some elbow grease turned semi-opaque, yellowing cataracts into surprisingly clear (if not quite "like new") headlight covers. This bottle (6 oz?) is probably going to last damn near the rest of my life.
