I missed that first post somehow, but got the item from elsewhere. It... conflicts strongly with my understanding of Boyle's Law and the behavior of gasses under pressure.

However I have seen the "article" in question. Your first guess that something was not quite kosher should have been the use of blogs and pop science as citations. Your next guess should have been the actual use of the word "Apocalypse" in the "article." And finally, a google search of the author brings up nutbag stuff that would even make Glen Beck say "dude, that's way over the line."
I don't think anything short of fucking feces-smeared child corpses would make Glen Beck say that, and even then, he'd want to make sure they weren't members of some group he dislikes.
