The liver in question is that of
donwaughesq, and it's not being facetiously bad - it's actually and actively trying to kill him. With that in mind, those folks who think this poor, mad bastard is worth keeping around, if only because the deaf son of a bitch has better taste in music than anyone else we know, have been raising money to first get him on the list for a replacement, and then to help cover the inevitable expenses that will follow on from that - convalescence, anti-rejection medications, fake tanning spray, etc.

Next month I can make an e-donation. I just have to pay a bit off my credit card in order to be able to use it again (damn those emergency expenses). I have an autoimmune disorder too, but haven't been dealing with it nearly as long. Luckily it's just my mast cells that are angry (Re: annoying, but not hugely expensive to treat) and not something important like my liver.
The Lovely Spouse does organ/liver harvests about once a week. Perhaps one of those will eventually be for Don.
