Succumbing to the fact that I am a statistics geek, and just think this is kinda cool [and it's a slow day at the office while I delineate my job duties in the world's most tedious outline]:

Now, to just go right ahead and give myself away as an asshole. . . I recognize many of the names there, but have either been lazy and not added you, don't know you well enough to add you [this could loosely be categorized as "that big bunch of you who are Krystalle's circle of immediate friends" *laugh*], or, in a handful of cases, can't keep up with the amount of stuff that gets posted by some folks on a daily basis. A couple of communities [*shrug*], and, having not yet done the requisite link-lurking, a couple of utter strangers. I see one defunct journal, and one that's not been posted to in a disturbingly long time.

MattDuda no longer posts to LJ. For some reason.

Nahhh, I know who -you- are. heh. you've got cooties 'n' stuff!

There are, however, some utter strangers on that list.

I like my cooties. They keep me faithful.

Where be the link? I need a good bellyflop in the meme pool.

I've never been able to train cooties to come when they're called, much less remain faithful. *snicker*

Does anyone come when they're called? I mean, other than phone sex operators.

it's like semiretirement, or a digital shadow-self, or something.

hmmm, maybe i shouldn't have had that second ham & cheese wrap at lunch, i'm getting weird.

is that without even looking at your actual friends list, and seeing your 50 top non-friends, in many cases you can quickly deduce who you have on your friends list that these people would show up, tho it requires having geeked with you on irc for too damned long, heh.

true, but that really only shows you the part of the chain-mail shirt you're already wedged into far too well - you see maab & maat and infer nhvek and whatnot. it is an interesting exercise, tho. I'm wondering about the heuristics of it, and precisely how the florida/jax contingent figures so prominently, when my main vector to them is one and maybe two people that i'm cognizant of, unless there's a surreptitious cross-pollination i'm not aware of.

we're fucking _dorks_, mate.

"we're fucking _dorks_, mate."

I'll drink to that :>

Thank you. Seriously. It drives me nuts to see the manifestation of a meme splattered all over my damned friends list and next to no one has the damned link posted. Whether I actually want to participate or not (though as a cube farm inmate, I generally do), it's a little irksome, you know?

I will drink to anything

so will most of the rest of the folks on my friends list.

i sense a common thread here. . .

Doh! You slash dot'ed the poor guy!

Sorry! The load on this computer is too great to calculate the results for jruske. It's only a very little computer and many people are trying to use at the moment! Please try again later.

I'll just have to try later.
