Followup with the Orthopedist this morning:
X-ray looks quite similar to the last one, but that's fairly normal. "You'll feel better than the X-ray looks; it lags behind." The distal portion of the break sticks up a little bit, and will apparently not set perfectly flush; this is fairly common and normal, and the pointy bit will gradually be reabsorbed by the body, though I may have a pea-sized knot there for the duration.
The tenderness/soreness in my pinkie and wrist are probably from a mild sprain, which the trauma and the related swelling obfuscated somewhat. The same course of treatment/rehab will work for that.
Next followup is in three weeks. In the interim, I'm to keep doing what I'm doing - splint most of the time, wiggle and stretch hourly, don't do anything aggressively stupid (and therefore painful), but continue to see how performing additional activities feels.
Timeline for full recovery was upgraded from ten weeks to six; I'm a lot less angsty about only losing September's ability to work out than I was about losing October, too.
