The media loves the TP. They showed the town-hall meetings that were taken over by shrieking TPers, but none of the ones that weren't, they covered Beck's glorified MLK day Klan rally, but not the counter-protests. Equal time is a thing of the past, and the squeaky wheel gets the grease (especially when the squeaky wheel is sponsored by a big advertiser), so it's time to start squeaking! The media will always be biased in favor of the advertisers, so we need to be loud about it.

It's too late to force the corporate media to cover the Saturday counter-protests ahead of time, but it isn't too late to make an issue of the lack of equal time, and it isn't too late to organize a national anti-racist day of antircist pushback that will bet too big to ignore. Open to suggestions as to date. I think October is a good time-frame. The 29th is the anniversary of Brown, or if anyone else has any ideas for dates, I'd like to hear them.

Meanwhile, we need to launch operation pushback, because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

Beck has reserved the largest venue in Alaska for an event on 9/11/2010.

Something needs to happen before oct.

I hope he freezes his balls off, and that he and Caribou Barbie are gored by moose.

I think being gored by a hamster would be more fun, personally. Vicious little bastards and more humiliating.
