Dear kooky results spreadsheet math: It is impossible for my average mile time to be slower than that of a guy I finished faster than.

26:52 < 26:55, but 9:13 !< 9:12

I can't claim to be anything more enthusiastic than "not-dissatisfied" with my time (26:52). It's about 3:30 slower than my "since I started running again" best of 23:17, but my first semi-serious run since Easter weekend (24:45). It was lovely weather for it, though.

First time taking the Vibrams out for that long, much less on pavement the whole way... the aftermath has been three days of stupidly tight calf muscles. Walking 2 1/2 miles at lunch today finally started to loosen them, since 75 deadlifts yesterday didn't do jack squat.

I can live with this "High of 70 / low of 45" stuff for the next several months, thanks.

This has been our weather for the last few days, & I agree - it is awesome.

*waves* I've considered getting a pair of Vibrams myself; how well are they holding up for you? How comfortable are they?

they're fantastic once you get used to them, but do suck for playing basketball and, for me, running long distances on pavement. weightlifting? running on grass? nothing better, except going barefoot.
