The response to the new events (jumping, throwing, and the mile run) was quite positive, and it was a lot of fun to incorporate new and different things. We've all got benchmarks against which to compete next month (and I've been talked into doing the Gasparilla Distance Classic 5k at the end of February with the usual band of coworkers (as well as some additional friends); whether or not I subject myself to the half marathon on the next day is a matter deserving of some mulling*** (goddamn, six in the morning? At least I should be done by 830...)
