If I could figure out some way to make a decent living at it, "Man Friday" seems like something I would kick ass at:

Some weird, hybrid, non-pushover Personal Assistant & Life Coach thing.

I think there's a ton of money in that, if you just have the right clients. You may have to move to El Lay for your work load to reach critical mass. There are plenty of folks here with disposable income who crave that. You could be the next big thing.

Need to discover ways to market self.

Should also become more familiar with my razor. I totally need to re-mow my head and face this weekend.

And here I was thinking declaring Friday to be a manly day, where you coerce others into doing manly things. This is what happens when one jumps to conclusions after only reading half of the post. :>

(I still think Man Friday is a good idea.)

Manly Man Friday, not Girly Man Friday, I think. Girly Man Friday makes sure the starlet's mani-pedi starts on time. Manly Man Friday tosses her kettle balls and barks at her until she completes the set, then feeds her the right supplements and books her appointment for implants.

Are you looking like a prophet? Because that would be a slightly different line of work.

This is not impossible. It is not, however, likely that you'd be able to do so and support yourself full-time from the beginning. What you'd need to do is establish a handful of "career acts" that, together, will pay your bills.

I have done a bit of research into this exact kind of thing. It is totally doable, especially when you consider the fact that right now you have nobody to be financially responsible for other than yourself and you are, with the exception of the house, relatively debt free.

You should do this thing.
