The one I'm most *like*? Egads. If not for the immense impending wealth, fame, and prodigious knowledge of Unix, I'd occasionally be tempted to say "end-of-book Randy Waterhouse from Cryptonomicon"... but that's simply a character I identify with very readily. Likewise, Vlad Taltos from Steve Brust's series of the same name, though I lack good hair and a flying lizard familiar or any kind of magical powers.

I've been joking with the lady I'm starting a collaborative novel-writing effort that I'm damn near a 50/50 blend of the two main male leads in her first novel; she is by turns mortified and amused by the accuracy of this depiction.

Others have suggested Jayne from "Firefly," but I haven't watched it enough to be able to render an informed opinion.

So, I will fall back on my stock response: I am Levi who is called "Biff," best friend of Joshua bar Joseph of Nazareth, from Christopher Moore's Lamb. It's a near thing between Biff, and the titular Fool (also by Moore)... but I think I'm more apt to die horribly than boink and marry a world-conquering princess after being a foil and sex toy for her two kinky sisters. *grin*

I've been trying to figure out who I'm most like, and so far the best I can come up with is Handy Smurf, but all Smurfs are far too one-dimensional. At least all Smurfs seem to sing, and the singing is really important.
