This tea is disconcerting, because it tastes, to a close approximation, just like what it's called (albeit without the cloying sweetness). There's a strong note of the particular cloyingness on both the nose and tongue, of very sweet fruity white grapes. There's a bit of earthiness underneath that, but it's a lot more like a cathedral - lots of high airy spaces and fancy pointy bits, with a little bit of dirt on the floor and incense wafting about.

I added a touch of honey to round out the flavor and add some actual sweetness, instead of the outline or shadow of it, and it's both nice and confusing to drink.

It's kind of what I imagine Lisa Mantchev's fairies smell like, actually. "Brew me up a hot cup of steeped fairy wings!" would result in a cup of this stuff.

I love tea, but I don't know that much about it. Sort of how I love cars but don't know much about them either. I think that's a theme in my life, but that's a little too thinky for right before bedtime. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I like the way you write about tea.
