So, right, for those of you who don't bookface, there is a fresh batch of kittens at GMBAN, courtesy of a two year old cat (Mayday, who is Rufus' first offspring) that I thought was a boy until I caught her nursing a quartet of tiny fuzzies last Thursday.

Due to popular demand....

Action Kittens!

Bond. Because what else are you going to call a bold thing in a tuxedo? I have successfully nabbed this one on three occasions, but it will require three hands to get a better picture. Definitely the runt of the litter, but gaining ground.

Mayday giving me the stinkeye, while Bond and Rorschach (symmetrical black facial blobs on a white background? ... An easy call.. though I almost went with "BatCat"). These two pal around, and the other two seem to have paired off for activities, but now that they're all starting to get the hang of the "walking" thing, they're beginning to group wrestle. We'll see how the dynamics play out, but I'm still trying to socialize them all.

The other two kittens are quite skittish, and took longer to be named. One brown and white one is the most cowardly of the litter, despite being the biggest, and has a large brown patch over most of it's back. Who wears a brown cape, or perhaps a long brown coat?

Ten.

(As in the 10th Doctor, because we all know how much I loooooooooove Joe Whedon's body of work. :-p)

The smaller one is white with brown/tortishell spots, and was the first to be observed eating a lizard so... Kirk. (The lizard... *sunglasses* ... was a Gorn-er. YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............)

Pictures of the whole bunch as soon as I can manage... I've gotten to pick up Rorschach and Ten for a couple of seconds apiece, but tiny spitting ball of claws does not make me comfortable trying to aggressively cuddle them just yet. See aforementioned "three hands needed" note.

In unrelated news, I have apparently had a commercial made in my kitchen, albeit with slightly more fire than is my wont....

(note: there are, in fact, chicken breasts marinating in zesty store-brand italian dressing as we speak)

... and something I threw up on TFLN got image macro'd by [livejournal.com profile] tygenco_x (or perhaps just tumbl'd by her...?) anyways, she posted about it on twitter, and I was all "Heyyyyyyy.... that's my thing!"

Awwww kittens. Thanks for indulging me. (I am half in love with Bond. I have a thing for little black cats.)

I didn't make it, I just found it--and saved it because it's damn funny, especially with Sam L's expression. And now knowing the context of the situation? Still damn funny.

And cue the "d'awww" for the kittens. And some jealousy*.

*because I can't afford to have any pets right now and lately I've been seriously wishing we had a cat or a dog because holy frak I need a distraction that isn't related to having to move somewhere that I have no say in because someone else wants to move because it's all about them. Le sigh.
