Fuck yeah, our team played marvelous two-way hockey tonight, our goalie was solid, our D was stalwart, and our passing and puck-handling are an order of magnitude better than last week.

Next game is in two weeks.

CONGRATS man, that is SO awesome.

I miss playing hockey. I've returned to skating recently, and am wrestling with thoughts of going to some pickup games, assuming all my gear still fits.

I learned, as I was leaving, that I wasn't actually in the complete noob league. I'm in the "Beginner+" rather than "Beginner" basket.

I hollered, "Yeaaahhhh!" when I scored. Arms up and all that shit.

I reserved my titular cheer for the rising slapshot that hit the twine from one of our defensemen from out at the point. It carries very well in the rink, and I'm louder than the dozen or so fans typically in attendance, courtesy of many years of school chorale.

Dampening my enthusiasm belatedly was the realization that I forgot my stick in the locker room. I don't know if one of my teammates may have snagged it for me, so I may be spending part of my "thanks for re-upping with FiOS" gift card on a new one that isn't.... twenty years old. Holy shit.
