Spam at the office:

"Block obnoxious ads, click here!"

[there were, uh, seven or eight of these in the junkbox this morning]

Priceless. I've see that shit, too. I love it when you get a pop-up ad about blocking pop-ups, too. *snicker*

I think it's deliberately targeting their audience. Try going on dial-up on a Windows box without a firewall these days. (Obviously this is stupid. Don't do it on a box you care about.) On a popular DC-area ISP, you get one every five minutes, advertising one of three pop-up blocking services. That's easily five times as much as you get pop-up ads for anything else.

mein gott. i am -so- glad i mangle my email address on my site and use Mozilla. . .

[however, more spam seems to be getting through lately, and i'm uncertain as to why. . . not nearly the flood that hits my throwaway yahoo mailbox, tho. . . the bitch of it is, legitimate traffic from MBI [using adelphia's buffalo MX's is never so much as sniffing at mail.[obfuscated-domain].com, and then coming back to the sender five days later. driving us bugshit, that one is]
